Welcome to Bluebird

Photo by Jessica Pitt skier Trevor Quarrington

This blog is for all winter outdoor goers who enjoy the breath taking views of the Rockies and skiing at  Marmot Basin Ski Area, located in the Canadian Rockies more specifically in Jasper, Alberta National Park. Marmot is surrounded by a sea of spectacular sugar coated mountains and bluebird skies.

Jasper has been my home away from home for 7 ski seasons now, its quaint size creates for a closely connected community emitting vibes of care and comfortability for visitors. With the length of the town spanning the distance of no more than a 30 minute walk, traveling by foot is very easy. The town provides all the necessary facilites from grocery stores to entertainment. Marmot Basin is only 21.6 km outside of town which makes for a quick 30 min drive, arriving at a winter playground where no matter what age you are there is fun to be had for all.

Check out this video made by a couple of local riders at Marmot Basin.
